Badgers Tea rooms was established in 1997 in the beautiful Victorian seaside and retail town of
Llandudno in North Wales. This elegant tearoom with an onsite bakery has provided tourists and locals alike with a taste of the Victorian era.
This multi-award winning concept is based on traditional Victorian values with quality being at the forefront. The company is recognised for its quality standards in food, service and surroundings.
Customers are greeted with a warm and friendly welcome from trained door personnel and our attractive nippie style waitresses, dressed in traditional Victorian black and white costume provide our guests with an experience to remember.
Our mouth watering cakes and pastries baked by our own bakers and patissiers are an ultimate treat and irresistible when served by our waitresses from the cake trolleys.
Our toilets are consistently voted the best in Wales and are a compliment to our very high standards.
Badgers Tea rooms and patisserie has become a favourite meeting
place for locals and is a top tourist attraction within the area that visitors from around the world return to year on year.
The management and staff are very proud of the company and its achievements to date and are constantly striving to become 'Best in
Class'.
Badgers Tea rooms and patisserie was sold by the Badgers Group in November 2007 allowing the Senior Management Team to concentrate on the expansion of the Coffee Culture™ concept.
In May 2002, The Badgers Group approached the bookstore with a view to operating the Coffee Culture™ concept as a 'Shop-in-Shop' coffee bar in Llandudno.
Following detailed negotiations and discussions with Bookstore Senior Management on layout, décor, colour schemes and staffing, the coffee bar was opened within the Llandudno store in September 2002 and has operated successfully ever since.
The Coffee shop occupies only 1,000 square feet with 45 covers.
It was so successful that the bookstore claimed that the presence of a successful and professionally run coffee shop has increased footfall by 8% and has encouraged customers to stay longer in the store. This increased dwell time has led directly to and an improved spend per head. This coffee shop is one of the leading successes in the UK.
In January 2007 Waterstone's approached the Badgers Group with a view to operating Coffee Culture™ in Swansea. This store opened in August 2007 and is another great success for the company.
The presence of Coffee Culture™ Waterstone's has enhanced the Badgers Group reputation as a prestigious company in Wales and has provided the bookstore with a management hassle-free operation.
The coffee shop provides a contemporary atmosphere that is relaxed and welcoming which provides a stress free break while enjoying quality fairtrade coffee tailor made for the individuals taste.
Our freshly prepared choice of foods made to order have become a recognised treat that meet the demands of our loyal customers.
Our experience in staff training and development has provided excellent customer service that has contributed to our success story.
